Fastenal Company is an industrial and construction distributor with over 2300 locations in the United States and internationally. There is currently a full-time Outside Sales position available at our store located at 3505 Manor Drive, VICKSBURG, MS, 39180.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Developing & executing a sales plan in the local territory to meet/exceed sales goals
o Selling industrial & construction supplies business to business
o Conducting cold calls with manufacturing, maintenance, construction, job sites & other industrial accounts
o Maintaining & growing the existing customer base
o Managing account collections for assigned accounts
o Maintaining & growing customer inventory programs
This is an entry level sales position. The focus of this position is 80% outside sales and 20% branch support, including inside sales, purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing, and inventory management.
Successful candidates must:
o Possess a valid driver's license & meet company MVR requirements
o Possess the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a consistent basis
o Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business
o Have excellent written & oral communication skills
o Be customer service oriented
o Possess the ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail
o Demonstrate strong computer skills and aptitude
Preference is given to those who possess either an Associates Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market. Fastenal will provide training for the best qualified candidate.
